Eddie Meng was born and raised in China until 16 years of age. As a young boy he watched his father's hard work and tenancity as he built and owned several chinese restaurants. Eddie was a typical boy going to school, participating in extracurricular activities all while virtually growing up in and around the restaurant scene. When he was 16, Eddie's father offered him the chance to travel to the United States to learn English, attend school, travel or just acheive his own dream. Upon coming here in 1995, Eddie traveled around the U.S. working in various restaurants first as a bus boy, then a dishwasher, then kitchen helper and finally sushi apprentice. He is now an experienced master sushi chef and is living his dream as a restaurant owner. Eddie and his wife Pamela met in 2002 while she was waiting tables and attending college. They began dating and married on October 8, 2004. Pamela graduated from college with a teaching degree but currently helps at the restaurant and raises the couple's 2 1/2 year old son, Max. Pamela and Eddie have a partner, Shuan Wang, a master hibachi chef. Shuan has worked in various resturants throughout the U.S. and became a skilled chef in preparation for partnering at Bluefin. Shuan is married and has three daughters.
